Dubonnet (Diamond Hit/Roemer)

Freestyle (Florestan I)

Dubonnet (Diamond Hit/Roemer) is a very fancy 16.1h Oldenburg mare with highly sought after European bloodlines.  She is sired by the fabulous European stallion, Diamond Hit.  Her damsire is the famous stallion, Roemer, who has been inducted into the USDF Hall of Fame.  Dubonnet has proven herself as a valuable broodmare by producing 100% Premium Foals!  She passes on her wonderful nature and excellent movement.  Click here to see her 2011 stallion prospect colt by Quaterback, Quater Hit.

Freestyle (Florestan I) is a beautiful 17hh stallion with an athletic body, very well applied hindquarters and a super character.  He was sired by the highly popular Florestan I.  At the 100 day Performance test at Prussendorf, he was awarded a perfect 10 for character and a 9 for temperament.  In dressage, he proved to rank amongst the best of his year and received a 9.33 for ridebility.  His total score was 132.55 points and he was the overall winner of his performance test.

This colt will be substantial and is black bay in color.  He has a small star and two white hind socks.  We have had two exquisite foals by Freestyle so far, and we are excited to see this colt mature.  His movement is exceptional.  This bloodline combination of DiamondHit/Donnerhall and Florestan have proven to be very popular.  At the 2011 Elite Oldenburg Foal Auction in Vechta, the second and third highest selling foals (Valerian at 27,000 Euro ($39,000 US Dollars) and Furstprimas at 21,000 Euro ($30,000 US Dollars)) both carry the same combination of bloodlines as this Diamond Hit/Freestyle (Florestan) colt.

UPDATE: Freedom Hit is expected to mature into a beautiful ultra-modern sporthorse given his short-coupled back and very long legs, very elegant neck, ideal hip and shoulder angles, and well-muscled hindquarters and shoulders. This is the type most highly sought by today's breeders of the modern warmblood sporthorse. Freedom Hit is "exactly what the German Oldenburg breed registry is looking for" in its development of the best sporthorses in the world.  In addition, Freedom Hit’s exceptional conformation comes in a dark black bay package with star and matching hind socks and with a predicted height of 17 hands.  AND he has a wonderful temperament to boot!  His dam, Dubonnet, is just as impressive and was quoted as being “outstanding” and “unbelievable” during Freedom Hit’s Oldenburg Inspection. Dubonnet produced a Premium colt and stallion prospect in 2011, Quater Hit by Quaterback.  Freedom Hit is proudly following in his footsteps!!

**NEWS FLASH ** FREEDOM HIT WAS CHAMPION AT HIS OLDENBURG INSPECTION!!!  HE WAS AWARDED PREMIUM STATUS AS WELL AS HONORED WITH THE TITLE : "FOAL OF DISTINCTION".  THIS IS THE HIGHEST RANKING GIVEN ONLY TO THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL FOALS!!!  FREEDOM HIT IS TRULY A SPECIAL COLT.  SEE THE VIDEO BELOW OF HIS INSPECTION!!

COMMENTS MADE DURING THE OLDENBURG INSPECTION OF FREEDOM HIT:

First, the Oldenburg judge turns to the audience and asks them what they thought about Freedom Hit.  The responses were:  Everything you could want in a foal, Suppleness, Extension, Elasticity and other great comments.

Oldenburg Inspector’s Comments on the foal, Freedom Hit:

This foal is EXACTLY what we are looking for.  If you look at the foal and you say there are a lot of foals that come up and do this (she raises her arm and brings it straight down).  THIS foal is coming up and doing THIS (she raises her arm and brings it way up and over), carrying himself, he has hock action, but he is carrying himself. Then you look at the back and the back is moving and the back is supple and it has the ability to stretch so the hind legs can come underneath.  The movement in front, because the hind leg is so powerful, can do whatever it wants.  It can trot like this (she puts her arm down and in front of her) but it can also trot like THIS (she picks her arm up high and out), because the hind end is carrying him.  So this is EXACTLY what we look for.  I think you have an exceptionally nice foal.  This is a really really nice foal. I have not only given him a PREMIUM but I have also given him a FOAL OF DISTINCTION. He is a really nice foal.  He is just what we look for. I would be so thrilled if I had a foal of this caliber in my breeding program. He's a lovely foal, Congratulations.  Do you want to go around once more, just so we can see this again?

Oldenburg Inspector’s Comments on Freedom Hit’s dam, Dubonnet:

Then you go back and look at the mother and see what she is doing. I remember this mare and I saw her when she was born and as she grew up and I told her former owner that this is probably the best horse you will ever have.  You are VERY lucky.  Look at the mare. Look at the gaits on the mare, she is unbelievable.  She is outstanding.  You have a found a niche with Freestyle and this particular mare.  When you get a mare like this to breed, SHE is giving the strength here.  You are a very very very lucky person.
